About the event:

Join us on Sunday, August 25th at 6:30 p.m. for another FREE show at the Remington Community Garden, this time featuring local bands Strive and Zero. Please come prepared to dance, laugh, cry, sing, and even scream if you feel like it; we’re honoring the memory of Strive’s beloved friend and band manager Felix Reid.

About Strive:

Strive is a five-member rock band formed in late 2023. Vocalist and songwriter Caleb and his long-time friend and guitar player Kai had ambitions to form a band for many years. They struggled to find collaborators until successfully convincing their friend Diego to learn to play drums. With three bandmates locked in, Strive brought on Steven, a bassist and guitarist with previous experience playing in bands, and Bec, another friend and guitarist.

Once together, the members of Strive quickly became closer friends while also making major improvements to their musical abilities by covering pop rock bands like Imagine Dragons and Coldplay. The name “Strive” comes from their desire to become better musicians and individuals. These friends strive to one day put on shows that swirl their audiences through a trance of emotions.

About Zero:

Zero is a three-man rock band from Orange, Virginia. Frontman Wes shreds the guitar and serenades space skeletons with his luscious baritone vocals. Sideman Homer thumps the bass and haunts the abyss with his gorgeous grungy singing and screaming. Backman Josh locks it down on the drums, an aesthetically cool and musically gifted new addition to this band of notorious miscreants. The real question is this: How many guitars will Wes bring to this show?
